The Value-Tec CP series ESD safe replaceable plastic tip tweezers combine the advantages of the non-marring ESD safe plastic tweezers with the firm handles of stainless steel tweezers. The material used for the replaceable plastic tips is carbon fiber filled PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide): ESD safe, highly durable material with high chemical resistance. EM-Tec Checkerboard Calibration Standard
EM-Tec Checkerboard calibration standardThe EM-Tec Checkerboard calibration standard has been developed for quick and easy magnification and image calibration of SEMs and compact SEMs. It consists of over 1.6 million Squares which form 4 stages of checkerboard patterns. The smallest checkerboard is 10 x 10 um. These smallest checkerboards then form a pattern of 100 x 100 um and these again form checkerboards of 1 x 1 mm. The 1 x 1 mm checkerboards then form a 5 x 5 mm pattern.
The smallest 1 x 1 um squares are made with 60nm thick chromium on an ultraflat conductive Boron doped <100> silicon substrate. These materials are deemed inert under normal working conditions. Imaging contrast is good for both SE and BSE imaging. The EM-Tec Checkerboard calibration sample is suitable for SEM magnification calibration in the range of 20x to 50,000x with a pitch accuracy of ± 0.1% in both X and Y direction. Also useful for checking of image distortions and the accuracy of (motorized) SEM stages.

They comprise a low weight, minimal diameter and allow for very high tilt angles – close to 90 degrees. The metallographic or metallurgical mount is held by 4 copper S-Clips which clamp the side of the mount. In case of non-conductive embeddings, a grounding path can be easily made with one of the copper S-Clips.
The lightweight and thin design only adds around 2 mm to the diameter of the mount, thus allowing for high tilt w/o interfering with detectors under pole-piece of the SEM.

The EM-Tec P- range Pioloform only TEM support films are suitable for TEM applications up to 120 kV. Pioloform is a polymer type film and is generally hydrophilic and allows for good dispersion and good deposition of particles on the surface of the film. Pioloform is sometimes preferred over Formvar due to its higher mechanical and thermal stability and lower density, which can help reduce electron scattering and results in better transparency. The Pioloform support films are very elastic, comprise a thickness of 5-7nm, are solid, transparent and largely resistant to voltage of 120kV. The Micro-Tec lightweight, polycarbonate desiccators are ideally suited to store samples in a clean and moisture free environment. The shatterproof polycarbonate desiccators are much lighter and safer than glass desiccators.
They include an integrated vacuum gauge in the lid and venting/pumping valves both in the base and in the lid. The soft neoprene O-ring provides a vacuum seal which does not require grease. The Micro-Tec polycarbonate vacuum desiccators can hold a vacuum level of 150 mbar for over 3 weeks.  The Micro-Tec polycarbonate desiccators are available in two sizes: 150mm and 250mm diameter.

The Micro-Tec MP850S diaphragm pump is ideally suited to pump vacuum container or desiccators in a laboratory environment. The single stage Micro-Tec MP850S can pump a vacuum down to 150mbar with a pumping speed of 1.8 m3/hr. This oil-less diaphragm pump provides a clean vacuum and emits no oil vapours.
An additional feature is the compressor function with a pressure up to 2.1 Bar. It is designed for continuous use with a moderate noise level. The soft rubber feet provide further sound insulation. FlowView Aquarius liquid sample chamber for SEM
The FlowVIew Aquarius liquid sample chamber is a powerful tool to investigate liquid samples in the SEM. It is primarily developed for materials analysis and particle analysis applications. The three component sample chamber is easy to use with specially developed preparation tools and resembles an SEM specimen stub when prepared for use in the SEM. The FlowView Aquarius liquid chambers with M4 threaded sample stubs are directly compatible with Hitachi SEMs and with SEMS using pin stubs by using the supplied pins tub adapter. For first time users we advise to purchase the FlowView starter kit and purchase more liquid sample chambers when needed. The silicon nitride window is held in a silicon frame. The EM-Tec high purity wires are especially selected for vacuum coating of EM samples. The wires can be easily cut to size and used in evaporation coils, boats or filaments. The small amount of material and the relatively large contact area with the evaporation sources enables evaporation with low power evaporation power supplies.
For shadowing applications used with TEM samples, the thin metal wire could be wound around the end of the carbon rods to simultaneously evaporate metal and carbon. K-kit model
The K-kit is an easy to use innovative sample holder for liquid specimens. It is a single-use sample holder with a sealable micro-channel between two silicon nitride membranes. The K-kit is made from silicon with Si3N4 membranes, using the latest MEMS technologies. Included with the K-kit is a copper aperture grid to mount the sealed wet cell. The k-kit is compatible with most standard TEM holders.

The microchannel, with two rectangular silicon nitride windows, enables imaging and analysis of nano-particles suspended in aqueous solutions. The size of the silicon nitride window is 300µm x 25µm with channel heights of 0.2 and 2µm. The inside of the microchannel is coated with Si3N4. Applications are wide ranging from, material, life, chemical and biological sciences.  Nanoparticles can be imaged in their native state or in-situ dynamic physical and/or chemical reactions can be observed. The K-kit can also be used in dry mode. The suspended particles are dried in the K-kit microchannel to avoid agglomeration which tends to occur when droplets of suspensions are dried on a support film. Compatible with FESEM – STEM detectors. The K-kits with the 30nm Si3N4 membranes are compatible with FESEM s equipped with a STEM detector when 25 – 30kV is used for imaging. The best results are achieved in dry mode.

The EBSD-3D sample holder for FEI / Thermo DualBeam FESEM/FIB systems permits FIB milling of the sample and subsequent acquisition of EBSD data. Repeatedly rotating the sample 180 between the milling and the EBSD mapping positions enables collecting 3D EBSD mapping data. This holder is to be used with the FEI EBS3 software and FEI / Thermo DualBeam systems. 
The EBSD-3D holder can be used to analyse either the surface or a cross-section of a sample. The angles on the EBSD-3D sample holder are 54° (short facet) and 36°  (long facet).  The sample holder is mounted in the centre of the sample stage with M6 fine thread. The sample stage should be set at 16° tilt.
