EM-TEC Pioloform only TEM Support Films
Introduction
The EM-Tec P-range P- range Pioloform only TEM support films are suitable for TEM applications up to 120 kV. Pioloform is a polymer type film and is generally hydrophilic and allows for good dispersion and good deposition of particles on the surface of the film. Pioloform is sometimes preferred over Formvar due to its higher mechanical and thermal stability and lower density, which can help reduce electron scattering and results in better transparency. The Pioloform support films are very elastic, comprise a thickness of 5-7nm, are solid, transparent and largely resistant to voltage of 120kV
The Pioloform only TEM support films are available on 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 300, 400 mesh and larger slotted copper, nickel and gold TEM grids. See the matrix below for the currently available TEM P-range Pioloform only support films with packaging sizes of 25, 50 and 100/box.

Features of the EM-Tec P-range Pioloform only support films on TEM grids:
- Ideal for imaging of isolated particles (nanoparticles, liposomes and Norovirus)
- Very suitable for negative stains
- Good adhesion for bacteria and viruses (negative staining)
- Hydrophilic; no need to ionize the support film
