The special tantalum evaporation boat sources are designed to offer higher material capacity than the standard tantalum evaporation boats.  They are available in different sizes, shapes and capacity to cover a wide range of needs.
Baffling for these special tantalum boats is optionally available with two types of covers: single hole and multi hole baffle covers. Baffling is used to minimise particulates in the vapour stream. Several of the higher capcity tantalum bout sources are also available as alumina coated versions. Evaporation boats can be used for upwards evaporation only.

The special high capacity tantalum evaporation boat sources are suitable for:
